Adding New Filter

Hi, I am currently running 2 externals and have just bought myself a new one.
I dont really want to put any of the mature media from one of the other filters in to the new one but instead I was planning on running 3 filters all at once until the new one matures.
Any idea how long its going to take for the new filter to mature enough to be able to remove one of the other externals?

The recommended time for 'cloning' a filter is 4-6 weeks

Thanks for that. Her indoors is gonna love me as one of the filters will have to be outside the tank till the others matured.

Yeah, 6 weeks is the minimum you want to run it in the parent tank to be sure that it can support a fish load. Keep a watch on your ammonia afterward.
