Adding More Gravel And Building Slate Caves?

My tank has been set up for a couple of months now but I would like to add sopme more gravel to the set up. Is this OK to do and do I just do it by adding the gravel after washing it as I would do normally??

I would also like to make some slate caves and was going to use Aquarium silicone to stick the slate together. I am pretty sure that this would be fine if someone could please clarify.

Absolutley fine Just make sure the silicone is dry before adding to the tank.

Yep all fine just one on the slate caves i tried making some from slate that i got from my local river had a right nightmare im no diy expert though i wanted them to look rustic and not so made so didnt have flat edges one fell apart one was ok though took them out of my tank now though. Good luck with the construction post some pics when you have made them.
