I currently have a Biorb  (not good but its going :hyper: )

I am going to not cycle my tank but as the beneficial filter bacteria are stored in the biorb gravel (ceramic media) im going to add this to my new Juwel tank- to the internal filter.

My question, should i add all of it? In this case i would need to take out some sponges. Is there any other ways of getting the baceria into the Juwel Filter so there is no need to cycle? Im going to add the sponge in so that will have some bacteria in.

The new tank is a Juwel rio 125 if thats any help

Thanks

Will

With the Juwel filter, I wouldn't use the black carbon or green nitrate sponges, just the blue ones. Would the space freed up by them give you enough room for the biorb media? You can put the biorb gravel into a media bag to keep it together.
