Adding Dechlorinator

Hi everyone,

I have just bought 4 x 25litre water containers to make my weekly water changes a bit easier. I do a 50% water change every Sunday and I will be filling the water containers on Thursday's so I can leave it to settle for a few days before the change.

My question is I am using Prime as my dechlorinator so if my maths is correct I will have to add 0.6mill of prime to each 25litre container before filling with tap water. (I have a small syringe to do this)
0.6mill seems such a small amount of dechlorinator to add to 25 litres, and I just want to be sure I should not add a bit more to be on the safe side? Maybe 1mill to each 25litres?

Any advice would be great.

Seachem Prime is possible the most potent dechlorinator you can buy, so it will be small amounts if you're used to using cheap stuff. Ive yet to buy a bottle myslf as i stil have two bottles of cheap Aquasafe (i think) to use up, but this is 5.0ml to every 10ltrs, so an innercapful to EVERY bucket, not very strong at all!

Adding 1ml to each 25l container won't hurt anything. I double dose with it as a matter of practice, as I don't trust my water supplier.

i have been using prime for just over a year now and get on great with it.i also use 25lt tanks and i put 14/15 drops of prime in then shake the life out of it then leave it a couple of days with top off to allow gas off before using.

I'm on the paranoid side so I've been adding 1ml Prime to every 10L bucket. This is a massive overdose. I should probably stop adding so much, but I'm a tad on the paranoid side, but you're right that it doesn't seem like it's enough!
