i am currently going through my fishless cycle with my juwel rio 125,and i have just purchased a fluval u2 filter,my questions are,do i just place it next to my juwel filter, and have the flow going the same way,or do i place it at the opposite side of the tank. hope this makes sense.
cheers

I have 2 filters running 1 at each end! Hope that helps.

its possibly best to have both filters facing the same way so they dont cause a turbulant spot when the 2 flows hit each other :good:

i disagree they would have more effect opposite ends i have 2 one causes a flow along the back of the tank and the other make one along the front so its on big loop or swirl lol

It would be best to put one filter on one side of the tank and the other on the other side. That way the workload for the filters will be split each will cover its own side.

yeah what i was saying is you dont want 2 filters facing each other causing turbulant spots in the middle where the 2 jets meet. 1 along the front and 1 along the back would be fine

Why would you put one on the back and one on the front that would look silly. I understand what you mean by facing one another. Like if you had one on the back on the left side don't put one on the front on the left side. I don't see why you would put any on the front in the first place. If you have two filters you should put one on the left on the back of the tank and one on the right on the back of the tank.
