My LFS has a large male silver saum for £5...he is about 6-7" i currently have 4 female GT's around 4"....will he kill them? i thought i had a male in the group but looks like i don't.

My plan is to have a 2 fish tank and let them breed.

Only problem with the large male is he only has one eye...hence why he is so cheap...other than that he is beautiful.

Hi, might work, might not, can only try, and at that price if you keep a good eye on them, might be worth a shot.

Haven't got any experience with GTs, but one of my old JDs was blind in one eye and used to be aggressive, perhaps to 'make up' for his loss of vision, paranoia etc.

I suppose hes not money to lose if i have to return him.

He has a cataract in his missing eye...will this move on to his fry tho?

Worth trying, you may get a pair quicker that way if he takes to one of the females, be ready to remove the others though!!

The eye was probably lost either due to fighting or poor water quality, so the defect wouldnt pass down to offspring.

Bet that took you a while to write.....
