Added Whitespot Med Now I Got Nitrite!

I treated my large tank with interpet 6 anti whitespot,tested water this morning and i have a nitrite of 0.25 !!!

What do i do? if i do a water change then i'll take out the meds if i don't then i'm leaving nitrite in the tank!!

I was careful when adding meds,can meds give a nitrite spike,ammonia still 0,i still test water once a day out of habit so i know nitrite was 0 yesterday!!

I doubt that the whitespot medication caused the nitrite.

If I were you I would just carry on with the medication course and do a water change when it tells you to. Deal with the nitrite after the whitespot has gone. Your fish will be more resilient to a small nitrite spike rather than the white spot. One thing at a time and calm down.

Did you get rid of the spike? Was the white spot treated successfully and did you find the answer to your questions?
