I added 3 blue paradise gouramis to the tank in my signature over the weekend. I believe they are all male. I've gotten mixed messages about these from various sources whether they will work in my tank or not. Some say they are fine in a community. Some say they get aggressive when they become adults. I also worry about them being all male. I hope it works out because so far I love them.

I would worry about them being a little bit cramped, because they do get territorial. Hopefully it'll work out. Good luck :)

If they are all male, you are going to have to seperate them. Paradisefish are like bettas in that males often fight to the death. As far as the other fish go, however, it does depend on teh individual fish - some male paradisefish are ok with non-gourami tankmates while others kill everything in sight. As long as yours are young and none of the fish in the other tank are too small or slow, a single male paradisefish may be ok with non-gourami tankmates. However, it may be an idea to return two males and get females instead. Females act as distractions for males so that they don't turn aggressive against other tankmates and, provided there are plenty of hiding places in the tank and a strong enough current to prevent breeding, territoriality shouldn't be too bad.
