Hi again!

My fishless cycle is progressing nicely. As of this AM, my tank processed 4 ppm ammonia to 0 in the last 36 hrs and 1 to 0 in the last 12.

I'm leaving tonight on a 3-day business trip. I've just dosed to 4 ppm. Question is, if my tank should process down to 0 tonight, do I need to have someone add ammonia while I'm away to feed the bacteria? Or will they be fine until I get back on Tuesday?

Other #s: Nitrite holding steady at 2.0, nitrate seems to have dropped from 40 to 20, but maybe I'm reading it wrong.

Thanks again for your help and patience...

Hi.
I'm only a beginner myself but I would guess at yes.
I believe the bacteria start to die back with no amonia in the water so if you are away for 3 days I would try to get someone to dose the water.

I'm not sure this info is totall 100% correct and I only answered because no one else has and you need some advice.
It's what I'd dio anyway :)

Just put a small amount of fish flake in a stocking and leave it in the tank. That'll keep it ticking over till you get back.
