Honestly I don't know either.

The planting looks appropriately obsessive cumpulsive, AdAndrews. Good work. Think you spent too much on your substrate, though, my $10 sand doesn't give me a quarter of the trouble.

Can't wait to see it fill in.

lol, i just hope i can reep the benefits from the substrate when your paying as much as i have! atleast the water doesnt cloud, so thats a bonus

I know what you mean about how annoying ti is when you kick substrate up in a WC, especially when you have just spent 3 hrs single planting HC !

i will upload some more pics once it has started to grow a little more, otherwise there would be little difference

Just a little update, hairgrass has started to grow, trimmed it once already, hc is coming along, but slowly, only very minor algae issues, just a tiny biut of diatoms on like 2% of the hc, but i have upped the tpn+ to 2ml daily, and ae carbon is at 0.7 daily, as well as running the co2 at yellow on the drop checker

I gave up on HC, ive tried it twice and always have it covered in algae... Plus i realised if im waiting corys, it wouldnt stay rooted anyway...
