Does activated carbon remove salt from a tank? I added about half the called for dose of salt to my tropical aquariam in an attempt to stop a very small case of ich. I eleveated teh temp too. Now that the treatment was successfull will replacing the activated carbon remove the salt from the water?

Nope. Nothing removes salt from the water except water changes. I think its safe to say that you can probably just leave the salt in the water and go about your normal water changes. It should then be back to zero levels in sevral monthes. As long as you fish can tolerate salt in the water you, rather, they should be ok.

You rock woogrl...ty so much. I think there is enough salt in there (11 teaspoons for 85 gal) to kill any ich that might venture back! thanks again for the help
