I purchased a Blue Acara about two months ago, and when I first got him home he seemed to be growing a lot, but for the last month he has sort of stalled, I'm wondering how big he's going to get, and how long it'll take. I am having trouble getting him to eat anything except flakes now. He doesn't care for sinking pellets and doesn't come to the surface for cichlid pellets. Any suggestions.
Heres a pic.

7-8'' in size... not sure on how long it will take though.

So it doesn't like sinking pellets and wont come to the surface?... I had some fish that were scared to come to the surface while I was close to the tank.. sounds weird, but I found that if I fed them, then left the room, or went to the other side of the room, they would come to the top and eat, but right when I went back to the tank, they were at the bottom again hiding. I sorta concluded that they were just scared of me.

Have you tried any frozen foods like bloodworms or brine shrimp? What about sinking catfish wafers?
