Absorbing Babies?

I read somewhere that if u stress out a pregnant platy, the babies will be "absorbed" can someone please tell me what that means? x

It means that people do not understand how they lost a fry drop. I have never seen a real world case of a female literally re-absorbing fry. I have on rare occasion seen a female abort her fry when extremely stressed.
