Hi, i'm going to get a 10gallon tank and i want to have lots of guppies in it, and guppies alone.

Seeing as they give birth readily, and it'll be a species tank - free from possible predators, would it be possible to get 2 or 3 guppies and let them breed till the tank is full? Would this be hard? how long would it take?

1. Guppies will eat their own fry, but because of the relatively small size of Guppies to begin with, the time frame in whcih the fry are small enough to eat is shorter than with other livebearers.
2. Your tank will be filled within six months if the Guppies start breeding right away. It won't be overcrowded at that point, but the amount of fish in that tank will be too large for that tank if you consider full grown lengths. Have a plan to have more fry eaten or have a LFS that will take them.

i was thinking about the possibility of using them as feeder fish for my angel fish if they don't get eaten by their parents.

i don't know about the stocking levels but i'm going to over filter it, just have to watch out for the fry getting sucked up by the filter.
