this is quicker than pm, so aaron, or indeed anyone answer...

does the solenoid plug in meaning its on, as i have put it into a timer, but the bubbles seem to be coming through still
how many bubbles per second- i have blue colour on my drop checker, isnt this too much co2?
my co2 reg reads 55 on the one and just less than 2 on the other(normal??)

thanks

blue is too little...im not sure on the solenoid

switched on = allows CO2 through

blue too little
green ok
lime green - best target to aim for IMO
yellow too much

Your reg gauges are fine.

tidy, shall i turn the co2 up a little then, or is it common to have too little during the first couple of hours of set up

it takes a few hours for the reagent to change and for the CO2 to come up to the right levels

make sure you have llowed approx 2hrs for the DC to change colour, but it is normal to start low, then slowly raise until you feel it is right, then let it run through a day and monitor the levels throughout.

thanks truck and aaron, just getting used to all the equipment.. plantings gone ok i feel, could have ordered another pot of e.parvula(had to miss the bit behind the rock out!) but its ok, will be good when mature

one more, for aaron.. on the co2 red there is the little knob which you turn to allow more or less co2 in.. does more come out at the start and then it will slow down, i have turned it and then after a while it seems to slow real down, how much turning would you do, im at the start or there abouts just a little turn from as far as the - sign as poss

????

you will notice as you turn it up the bubble count drops, it is just a common thing while the pressure builds up, once setup correctly there will not be as much fussing about :good:
