Aaaaaaaaaarrgh! It Wont Fit

ok i bought these co2 canisters after been recommended them:

i got them today and have just tried to install it but my dennerle regulator doesn't fit - this is a nightmare as my plants are suffering, co2 regulators and co2 bottles are supposed to have the same male thread and should be a universal fit, the regulator screws onto the bottle but the fitting on the reg isn't long enough to push the pin on the the bottle down and therefore release the gas, is there anything i can do to get it to fit?

Looks to me from reading many many threads and articles over the past hour that Dennerle have had their regulators manufactured so that they won't reach the pin on any other brand. No adaptor is going to help you there!!!

One more reason not to use Dennerle then!!! I can't see any cheap sellers of their bottles on the net!!!

Maybe cheaper to get a different brand reg than be forced to use dennerle bottles forever!! I'll take those bottles off you at what you paid so you're not out of pocket

The reg I use is a welding one from WeldUK which was about £30, then I use a needle valve and solenoid from Aquarianversand/Lunapet on ebay which cost about £30 so about £60 total.

Hi AC, after a couple of hours of searching i came to the same conclusion as you, i should have read your post first I am going to pick up a proper dennerle bottle tomorrow as i cant wait for another delivery to come through but after that i think i will buy a different reg, those crafty german buggers!!!
