I have two tanks... and have just got a bargin on another filter... meaning I now have 3 filters...
Could I put it in my biggest tank so that tank is overfiltered. Will this create a current too strong?

The reason I want to use the spare is because if I get another tank then I will instantly get a mature filter, also if one of my current filters packs up... then i've got a spare ready to go... but I don't want it to make a current to strong... should I put it in?

P.S. It's a Fluval 1 Plus - are these good filters?

:hyper:

thanks

Hi,

I checked your profile but you don't say how big your current tanks are. Fluval 1+ are good for tanks up to 45 litres i have 2 fluval 2 + which i have in my 18 gallon tanks. I think they are quite good filters but get clogged easily so the sponges need rinsing a lot .If you have room in your current filter you could add the sponges from the fluval filter this is what i do for my quarantine tank then the sponges stay cycled. Or if your tank is big enough there shouldn't be any problemrunning 2 side by side.

i would put it in some fish like the extra current, for example clown loaches
