there was a huge one in a fish someone bought before, i couldnt find the article
 
Maybe new to science but there's nothing new about that. We used to catch fish with them back in the 70s. We called them fish doctors and they were mostly found in the mouths of skipjack trevally we caught off the coast of Fremantle in Western Australia. They are a horrible parasite that can't be removed once attached. We used to keep any fish we caught with them, kill the fish and dispose of the pest on land so it couldn't breed.
 
"Tongue-eating parasite" brought to mind all sorts of inappropriate jokes about a few college dating experiences, but...family friendly forum, mods must set a good example, and all that...
