Righty-ho, Just been messing about on paint, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to paint, photoshop would have made it easier

This is what I planned for plant placement:
prototypeplantedtank.jpg

At the top is Hygro polysperma and the Rotala rotundifolia and then Cryptocoryne willisii, note that the red crypts are there to represent a red plant, any suggestions? It will be the focal point of the tank. and then some Pogostemon helferi around the rocks and maybe some Cryptocoryne parva.

I know it doesn't show much depth but the rotala will be trimmed to form a slope.

Any thoughts on placement or plant selection?

Cheers, Truck.

looks great, although i would put e.tennellus where the red crypts are, having that side lower, building up to the main stone, crypts around it, and then a nice fore of stems like you have planned

should look great!

I like that Idea thanks, out of interest how tall does Echinodorus tenellus grow? I've heard mixed comments.

Cheers, Jack

It can get fairly big, but in a low tech set-up trimming about every month-or even longer, means it will be perfect, i have it in my nano, and the high lighting is compacting it, obviously, lower the light makes the plants have to "reach for the stars" :look: OMG, im so SAD!
