is an airstone a gd or a bad thing to keep running at night?

i do have plants

Airstones are merely cosmetic, they have no real benefit on tanks other than maybe circulating the water or agitating the surface.

So its your choice really.

It an be benifitail to fishlike goldfish that love highly aerated water or danios that love to swim In places With excessive amounts of flow. But with fish like Bettas, that don't like lots of surface agitation and the flow, it would bea bad idea. Ideally small streamlined shaped fish with short fins will appreciate it more long finned, large, different shaped fish

Hmm ok I was under the impression that running an aristo e will help the co2 in my tank a little I know not much but help a bit as I have ants with no injected co2

I think I read somewhere injected co2 puts the level up to 30/40ppm where an air stone would keep it stable at around 7ppm? Is this true?

And that's why I asked tbh if it would effect my plants bad or gd to run it at night

Unplug it at night. The difference the thing will be making to oxygen and co2 levels will be negligible, but there's no point having it on if you can't see it, it's a waste of electricity.

You could put it on a timer to have it on at the times you're most likely to be watching the tank.
