Hi, an Ageneiosus Magoi of mine that has had wasting away disease for some time has been excreting this:

The blob-like pieces are indeed feces, but I have a suspicion that the stringy-like thing is a parasite (The tank that he is recovering in has been treated with flubendazole.)
What exactly is it, and what should I do to about it (It has been latched on all day :/ )? Quality is better on www.youtube.com. Thanks!!

Intestinal lining. All animals and fish shed their intestinal lining on a regular basis (about once a month). Normally you can't see it but in some cases (when an animal or fish is sick) you might see it. Intestinal worms and internal protozoan infections in fish will usually cause the lining to be shed more frequently and you can see it hanging out of the fish's butt. This looks like a clear, cream or whitish coloured tube hanging out of their bum. The dark parts in it are processed food (poop). It should drop off after a little while.

If it didn't have the dark bits then it could be a tapeworm that is being expelled. They resemble a cream coloured ribbon hanging out the fish's butt. They tend to fall off and come out in pieces/ segments and don't have the dark bits in it.

I'm assuming this is a few days after deworming the fish?
