so, after applying to my sixth form months ago, i have had a letter saying that i can only do 3 of the 4 i have picked... and i have the choices of Biology and a few others, biology being prefered.. but whats it like, does anyone take it, or is going to take it next year..

thanks

i take it! ive taken all 3 sciences and maths lol!

it isn't too hard at all, infact the 2nd module is easier than the first =/

alot of it is remembering definitions and building on knowledge.

Im finishing my AS in a few weeks and am keeping it to go into A2, i want to be a doctor :)

but do it, its really fun xD

I finished biology (AQA board) last year. I enjoyed every last second of it! I wouldn't swap it for anything. I was always a sciences girl anyways but...I Luuurved biology.
What are you choosing between? And what is it you think you might want to do with your A levels?

I have already got these 3:

I.C.T
Business studies
Law

and then i have(well dont "have" to)to choose 1 from any of these:
English Language
english literature
geography(dont want to do this)
biology
music(dont like music)

so its a choice out of english, lit or lang, and then biology, i thought biology becuase its intresting, but in gcse i am quite good at english, slightly better than science i think...

what i want a-levels for is 1) becuase i dont want to leave and get a job 2) becuase i want some type of higher education 3) in-case i might want to go to uni

i think i want to join some part of the police, not an actual officer, maybe something to do with computers, thats the main thing i am good at. at this point i dont think i will want to go to uni, but things may change.. i would only do the 3 a levels, but i have never done Law before, so want some type of back-up if i dont enjoy it..

what do you suggest?
anyone done law?

Out of your options there I would always always always choose biology. I hated everything English related...
If you're not AS strong in sciences as you think you might be at english. If you enjoy the subject then I don't think it will matter. Mainly because even if you have to put a lil extra time into it, you're less likely too notice if it's fun.
But then that's just me.
I did Biology, Chemistry and Maths... so like I said, I'm a bit biased. lol.

Edit: Side note - If you want to do something IT related then maths may be a good option. Many IT courses at uni ask for it, and even if they don't, when you tell someone you did maths they tend to be quite impressed. :)

Don't get me started on math c3 and c4 haha

no offence but you can forget maths, i find it hard in gcse let alone a level, i will go and speak to the biology teacher then, the only problem with biology is the coursework, i want to concentrate on ict the most and that has alot of coursework, but i spose if i do the 3 with biology and then i decide i like law then i quit the biology or the other way around

thanks

Meh, I.T is [Mod Edit] poor but that is at my school. The whole way it is marked and assessed is rubbish, its my worst subject. A-Level maths isn't bad at all, especially Mechanics its alot more interesting then GCSE and I think a bit easier....

i do a level biology its good, but you have to make the jump from gcse's to a levels pretty fast to cope with the workload
