Ok so over the last week i have been losing neon tetra (no trace), 1 a night. Last night i watched carefully to see which of my other fish was guilty. i eyewitnessed the deed and know the guilty party. see if you can guess.

The accused include

pair of 1'' cribs

2 Honey, 1 opaline gourami maybe 2''

neon rainbows largest of which is 1.5''

tigar barbs (baby)

ruby barbs

yoyo loaches (about 2'')

plec 4"

golden barbs (small)

dwarf frogs.


Now i wasnt aware that any of the above would actively hunt neons. But aparently someone is .......so whodunnit

honey dwarf gouramis won't touch neons but wild caught rainbowfish will. My money is on the M. praecox or the Yoyo loaches.

good guesses, i also suspected the gouramis but nope they are innocent this time.

and do dwarf frogs eat fish? well if they do they didnt this time.

it's not that morbid. My definision of morbid is looking at (with great interest) the pale wrinkled arm or leg that just got caught in the net and has all sorts of creepy crawlies moving around on it
