I have 2 new Plakats one kept by him self in a 2 gal tank and the other kept in the coumunity tank Platys and corrys, the one in the Platys/Corry tank has split his tail in the middle and has small splits in the middle of it as well ,
:How does he split it?
I have a very agressive vail tail who i keep in a 1.5 gal tank with Indian Almond leaves so the waters nice and brown this is the only way i can keep him from going in to Charles Manson mode ,it seems to calm him down .
:Should i take him out and exchange him with Jack the Plakat in the Platy/corry tank?As the Almond leave water would be good for him. But last time Frank the Vail tail was put in the Platy/Corry tank he killed 3 Platys by the time i got back from work.
What do you all think.
Ps I dont really want to disturb Plakat number one.

OK, first off, its not the best idea keeping bettas with platys. The shop I bought my last betta at did this, and all the bettas were nipped and lethergic from over-flaring. Whats the filter like? Fin injuries can be sustained from a strong filter. I'd move the one in the community to his own tank, and leave the others where they are.

id take him out as OohFeeshy said!i had a betta with platys and they nipped him until his tail was almst gone overnight i took him out and i fond he had attacked 2 platys and he was so stressed i got hhim his own tank andhe is fine now.get him a 1gal of his own to make him happy

the split in his tail could be from over-flaring at his tankmates. i wouln't chage your VT, though, sounds like he is happy.

i'd find another bowl/tank for the guy in with the platys
