Hello!
Just a few updates on Chai. Stopped medicating a couple of days ago, and he hasn't got any better, but he hasn't gotten any worse, either.
The tips of his fins have turned a little darker, like a tiny thin line. Is this something to worry about or could it be more colouring coming through?
Also, my mum reckons that he might have lost some colour because they might have fed him on coloured food in the LFS. If this is true, would it last for 2 months before fading? Also, would it be worth feeding him on it again? I still haven't gotten him on a staple diet

Aaand, even though it's a little off topic, we'll be going away for the weekend this month and then again next month. During that time, should I just leave the lights off and not get anyone to feed the fish (in both tanks)?
Thank you!

Colour enhancing pro pellets do work. I feed mine those. My Betta hasn't grown all of his fins back totally yet either, there's a little bit of clear growth on the tips but that's it. The split is still there. All the pin holes went though and it's not gotten any worse so I think that it's gone. In my big tank my fish seem to heal up so quickly but I think maybe smaller tanks aren't as clean so take longer to heal.

Yeah if it's only the weekend that's fine not to feed them.

Sorry to hear Chai is not doing any better? could you get a picture of his fins?

If your only going away for the weekend leave the lights off and feed before you go :)

Okay! I think I might get some and try him on those. I figure that if he was fed on them before, maybe he'd like them again? :D
Yeah, I see that too. In my big tank, Shrimps fins are all nicely healed up and shes growing new spiny bits where she lost them, but Chai hasn't had any such success!

Sorry to hear Chai is not doing any better? could you get a picture of his fins?

Will do! Shouldn't be too hard seeing as he's such a friendly boy nowadays

Okay! They'll think it's forever night time with no food!

In the first pic he looks almost completely normal, in the second you can see the little dip in his dorsal fin (sorry for my finger, he wouldn't stay there if I took it away!) and in the third his fins look a lot worse than they are because he was swimming away, but you can see the big chunk out his fin and you can just make out his butterfly colouring
