1- Orange Flash Cories- ive seen these and they are nice, i haven't seen them anywhere else except in one shop. are they a real breed or have they been dyed?

2- Shrimps- do they get out of the back of the tank where the wires come in? if so how can this be stopped and can they live out of water anyway?

3- Egglayers- is there any egglayers that are really easy to breed in the community? just little ones though?

4- endlers livebearers- can they be kept with fighters?

thanks for any replies

1) I've never heard of an orange flash cory. Sounds like some type hybrid unless that is an uncommon common name.

2) Some people say they can but I had them in my 29 gallon for over 2 years and never had a problem with 2 HOB filter homes and the heater hole.

3) A lot of breeding depends on water parameters. I will pass on this to someone that breeds fish.

4) Bettas will attack fish with ornate tales such as guppies and angels thinking them to be another betta. Endlers aren't that large but are still colorful. I would think there could be issues.

agree on 1, 2 and 4

all egglayers will be more difficult to believe than something like guppies. however plenty of them are achievable by the home aquarist.

if you're looking at cories then plenty of people breed them successfully at home, why not check out the cory section of this forum for some further guidance.

Some Killie fish are easy to breed, such as Aphosemium Gardeneri, though they are often hard to find. Your best bet would be a spcialinst breeder, as LFS rarely get them. My place of work can get them, at a cost of £5 each, trade value, so they'd retail at about £10 each, £20 the pair. I found a specialist breeded based in Shefield, who did two pairs for me at £17.50 for both pairs, and none of the four fish were related (what you want for breeding). They were hard as nails too, which they probibly won't be if purchsed through an LFS. Mebe worth P.M ing BigC to see if he can post some eggs to you. :good: (if he has them or knows someone with some that is)

A quick google search will show up loads of examples. Type in "steel blue killie fish" and accept the corrected spelling if prompted  :good:

1) I've also never heard of them

2) Shrimp cant live out of water, and if they are comfortable they usually dont jump out of the water. Mine do when they are freaked out or i try to move them, but they really cant jump high and just fall into the net.

3) They may, the other fish in the tank might eat all the eggs though depending on what u have

4) Bettas are usually agressive, but it depends. I kind of doubt it would work only because endlers are colourful. Some bettas cant even tolerate shrimp some can.
