Hey right now i have a 20 gal. tank that has

1 angel fish
1 dwarf gourami
3 mollies
3 zebra tetras
1 rubberlip pleco
1 african dwarf frog

I know nothing about puffers but the few pictures i have seen are really neat. Would i be able to add any to the tank now or are they not compatible with the fish i have? Are they sold at places like Petsmart and Petco? Is there anything unique to their treatment that i should know about before buying one?
thanks

What kind of puffers? It wouldn't matter because none are compatible. But you could keep a few dwarf puffers in a 5 gallon

Petco only sells Green Spotted Puffers, and they require alot of space. They grow up to 6 inches, and need a minimum of 30 gallons per fish when older.

And they require brackish water as they mature.

Yeah, plues puffers can be fin nippers and can shred those other fish's fins. If I were you I'd set up a lil' 5-10 gallon and snag a few dwarf puffers.
