I'm just fish mad, what can I say, lol. I look after them, never skimp on maintanance, feed quality food, keep the tanks as compatible as possible, which is a challenge, lol, especially with cichlids.

Tick all the boxes from your end of the bargain, and the fish will reward you with their activity and beauty.

My main tank at the moment is a 360g fibreglass tank with a front viewing panel (shown in the pic of my RTGG). This tank is definitely overstocked, though not excessively so, and there is complete harmony within, they all get along great, it looks awesome.

I used to be into bigger fish such as Giant Gourami, Balas, lemonfin barbs, tinfoils and cigar barbs but I let a lot of them go and I like the smaller fish now. The GG is my biggest fish, he is about 7 years old so still young yet.

My other smaller species are Beardless barbs, red tailed barbs, Borneo redfin silver sharks, a large pack of clown loach and dennisons, along with a few solitary cichlids (chocolate, red shoulder sev, and rams).

I had some other tanks but excessive energy costs are proving extremely challenging in the current climate so I stripped them down and juggled my fish about.

wow! those are some beautiful fish!
how do you take such high-def photos?

Those were taken with my phone and it's not even a fancy one. With a little patience you don't need a fancy pants DSLR camera for basic point and shoot.

Wow! I love the pic where you are petting the big fish!
A ton of variety you have!

Morley Aquarium (one of the fish shops around here), has a giant gourami but you wouldn't want to put your hand in the tank. It's a freakin psycho and goes nuts trying to kill anyone who walks past the tank. Water goes everywhere as this thing tries to bite you through the glass.

Sounds about right. Giant gourami are notorious for their unpredictability. I'm blessed because mine's a big softy. I can pet him, he loves being tickled, as seen in the picture, and I can hand feed him too. I've had him since he was 2". He is now 20".
