A Few Pics Of My 100 Litre...

I agree submerge the heater.Really nice tank :good: has a kind of eerie feel to it I love it

i dont get it. the element's submerged so it's okay. i reckon it'd be easier to have the controls out of the water. this would prevent them to get covered in algae and such

wow you sure thats only 100L?? by my calculations that's only 26gallons and that tank looks more than 26gallons... what are the dimensions?

Well did you ever think that i might know what heater it is its an elite so how about not being so cocky. Its best to fully submerge the heater as the element could still heat up the rest of the glass above the water and and spalshes etc on to it could cause it to crack. At the end of the day its not my problem I was just offering advice.

I uses Rena heaters that look just like that one, and if I'm not mistaken don't they all have a specific water line that the heater needs to be at? it's usually right under the temperature dial on the top of the heater... So in other words I agree that the heater should be fully submered, if not fully than atleast up to the water line

It sais on the packet of those heaters that the water line should be just below the ball shape thing.

Great tank Corin, I think it would benefit from a black background!

I have 2 elite heaters, and they have been submerged for about 1 year now, no problems

Oh and if I am right, I would say that tank is a juwel rekord 96, so 96 litres.... :p just looks like the bottom plastic thing has been removed,

I still want the measurements cuz that tank looks alot larger than 100L
