OK, so my nutrafin CO2 kit has had issues over the past day or so, and i spotted it this morning. Somehow the nutrafin container is not quite airtight, and has ended up leaking water which has been syphoning down the co2 tubing and spilling out of the container, and gradually spreading across the carpet.

Anyone else had issues like this?

Anything i can do to make sure it doesn't happen again.? What are these non-return valves people talk about, and is there on that will work with this kit?????

HEEEELP

cheers,
Squid

Non-return valve:

Not sure how it can siphon water from the tank unless the tubing is not connected properly, it is airtight and watertight, otherwise CO2 would not make it to the tank.

Thats what i thought.. im thinking perhaps the Lid was not on quite tight enough, or i had some sugar in the thread that meant i did not tighten it properly...

Thanks for the link.....!

I did wonder why people advised to put the cylinder of these things above the tank... Now I know! I guess if it wasn't sealed properly, the CO2 would of leaked out leaving no pressure, and allowing the water to start syphoning back. Definately fitting a non return valve when I get mine up and running...

Edit: Your avatar has always freaked me out! It looks very "Aphex Twin" ;) :good:
