it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission
well yesturday my daughter tipped a full tub of food in to my tank, so i got it all out and did a water change. Later on that night my big clown loach marlon started thrashing about the tank and when i went to check on him i found the water was boiling thanks to a broken heater. managed to save all the rest but marlon didn't make it, if it wasn't for him i would have lost the whole lot. i was in tears as i have had him for ages and never had a clown loach that long before. RIP little man :-(

Oh no, that's terrible. :-( Poor thing. One more reason to be truly aware of the equipment in your tanks! Not that I think for a second you weren't hon. I know you care for your fish. I found the top had come off the filter in one of my male bettas tanks this morning, stupid thing, so had to fix that. Glad you managed to save the rest.
Ahhhh at kiddies interfering tho. My son tries to so often I am that close to putting locks on them all. :grr: Thankfully I have stopped him touching them by constantly telling him he could kill them if he did something wrong and he does love them.
RIP Marlon.
Hugs,
P.

:-( that was such a beautiful fish.
Hope all the other fish remain well

You have just made me realise that I need to return a heater to the lfs as its been playing up since I bought it, one minute the water is 74 next its 86!!
