A Betta And 3 Kuhli Loaches

Would a betta some a few kuhli loaches be together? Would provide plenty of hiding spots/caves with sand as substrate. Small adjustable heater and small filter of some sort of course.

If so, would 5 gallons be too small?

5 gallons is far to small for a betta and 3 kuhlii's also Kuhlii's are much happier in larger groups.
a 10 gal could possibly have a betta and 4-5 kuhlii's MAYBE...
