well seeing as i stuffed up the soldering iron tonight and i was pulling rocks out i thought to myself go on give it a go, so i've just completed my first scape and its taken me a couple of hours, hopefully i didnt squish too many snails

pics will follow, its too late tonight, the water looks like #105###, and i still need to wash tonights dishes as promised earlier (before i started playing with my rocks) :hey:

ok so here are the pics of my 1st attempt, not really happy with it as it's too close to the front but overall effect isn't too bad

so let me know what you think, positives and negatives pls

I like it :)

The twin peaks give scope for some light loving corals and the bridge will be a great swim through. Lots of places for coral too.

i really like it, only very slight thing i'd change is theres a rock, mid centre on the right (in that picture) which is next to the second peak, and it causes a very vertical drop to the next level of rock. Just my opinion, but i think it'd look better with a gradual drop. BUT it is a really really good scape, and i love it! :good:

Obviously if you like it then leave it as it is, it still a wicked cool scape! :D

Oh what is it with you lot, you are all so much better at aquascaping than me, I'm going to have to build a bridge :p

maybe its because i am taking this so slow and spending a lot of time just studying the rock shapes, i also made sure to turn each one round in my hands and trying to imagine how they could lock together before any attempt was made for example that flat disc shaped platform on the right is one of my earliest pieces and always knew how i wanted it to fit in, and once i found the two taller pieces i just knew what i would be doing with them, the bridge was just a bonus as i had planned on keeping a gap so i could isolate my future xenia, but i just changed my mind mid scape

thank you all for the great comments except for lewis..... how dare you criticise me :p  and in reply to lewis's constructive criticism (as i asked for) the vertical drop down to the disc was planned although i may move the last rock on the right up a step to the left
