ookkkkkkkkkkaaaaaaay !!!! :hyper:
my friend has a 1.5m by 1m by 1m tank  (plus/minus i ddnt measure)and a sump i think it addes up to about 600l
well they used to have it set up but it sprung a leak  , so now it is sitting with a cyckled filter water and no fish,

probly my fault but :shifty: ... i have been given the task of working on this fabulous tank,
it is a freash water tank, but converting it to marien would be cool(what do you need for marin?)
well thefish theywould like to put back in the tank are a 40cm common pleco, pangasias catfish , 2 gold fish and a a Polypterid/Bichir?

any tips the fish that i have mentioned (bu ti think i have the names wrong  ) are in a tank that is far to small for them  and need to be moved ASAP!

please give me some tips and please post pics of what fish you think i have mentioned!!!!(coz i am a small fish kinda girl n i am also only 14 and only been keeping fish for about a year)
incase anyone didnt understand, the fish mentiond are already in there posesion and all in the same 1.2m tropical tank.

(edit: i think i have the right fish listed now.)

you cant keep gold fish in a tropical tank. i dont know about snake heads but i think the common pleco would be ok.

Goldfish and common plec's are both ok in sub-tropical (20-22c) water I think

i dont think goldfish would like it that high and its to cold for a common and snake head. and what catfish is it ?

i dont think it is actually a snake head but i dont know what it is, and5he catfish looks kinda like a hammerhead shark but alot smaller one is albeno and the other is black.

i think the snake head thing, the sharklike catfish and the plecoare the only ones that will be moved into thebig tank what other fish couldbe put inwith them?

oh and thanks for the prompt reply!!!!!

Depending on the size of the Snake head. I wouldn't put anything with that thing. He will eat whatever will fit into his mouth, or even things that wont he will attempt to eat. I have seen it.

ok it is nota snake head but i can not for the life of me think of its name, itis a surface breatheritis brown and looks like it has many different dorselfins almost like a bread knife. but the cap fishare pangasias(spelling?) .

i went to help them move the 1.2m tank on sunday, and these 2 older men would not have been able to do anything, without this 14 year old girl. they could not move their fish they were actually scared of them, an they ran out of the room when i took the pleco out(i caught it by hand, and got cut trying to find it in th dirty water) it was so funny,
why keep am animal captive that you are terrorfied of. Hahahahahahaha!!

but we moved it all in about 2 hours and they would have killed all of the fish if i ddnt tell themto not replace all the filter media and water, the tank is overpopulated already they dont need, more problems, but they did not listen when i told themto clean the sand so whenthey had filled the tank with water they put the sandin and the water went completely murky, so they emptied it and replaced the sand with gravel and startedagain but they did not rince the gravel ether so it took a wile for the 3 filters to clean the water.

the hole experience was hysterical!!!

soiamprobly going to help my friend ut again this weekend... does anyone have any tips on how to movefish with minimum stress, its not a newtank it has been running emty for almost a year so has anice build up of algea (the back and front sites are green) the pleco will sort that out in no time...
is it possible tohave a clean up crew coz even the pleco adds to the mess  maby freshwater clams??? does anyone know where i can get them in cape town??

ok i have changed the names in the first post so i think it might be a bit easyer to help me with he correct names (my spelling might not be right  ), please help and for these fish is sand or gravel better(they have a huge amount of mh snails  )
