do they have a powdery blue color with faint tiger like stripes and 2 black spots...if so then they are 3-spot gouramis(my local petsmart has them labeled as blue also) i would say thats a great price for them....the only fish i can get for that price is danios or wcmn

) missed the word blue , sorry , that is a good price , just remember three spots can be nasty fish , and may also grow to nearly 6 inches .

i want to start a new tank 10 gallon after looking at all these really really nice tanks. i just can make mine look good. im sorta sad about that. maybe if i a start another. i just keep doing somthing wrong: not enough gravel, adding things after the tank has been started and other stuff .

in a ten gal u could get 1 gourami and 3 ottos or 3 cories....it will slightly over stalked but as long as its kept clean they should do fine

The only gouramis that should ever see a 10g are dwarf and honey gourami.

20g is a minimum for pearls. I wouldn't keep blues in anything less than 30g.

99 cents? You saw it at petco huh. It is a special they do with thier pals card, but i hate peto, all thew stores around me are infested with ick and fungus and it is so sad. Never have i bought fish from them, i get them free, just tell them if you see one you like that is dieing that you want it and for them to put it on thier "death" list, that is was i do, and then i do my best to take care of them

Three spots can get aggressive, be careful what you put with them. Cories are fine, but if you are putting it in a 10, then you MAY have room for only like 3 cories, and that is it. It is so small of a tank that it would pick on anyone in its territory, which would be 80 percent of the tank. I would get an opaline if anything, because they are a bit mroe peaceful and mroe blue too (females are practically silver with blue gouramis and males are a hitn of blue), but a happy oaline is really blue Or go with a dwarf gourami (should be about 1.99). Research first, make sure it is what you want, i thinka 10 gallon with 1 fish is rediculous, i say go with dwarfs (only one tho ) or other fish... or UPGRADE Hope that helps B)

P.S. - about the whole petco thing, checkl to make sure it isnt sick, it is swimming happily, and isnt ina corner looking stressed, you want a happy fish, one that may be come to the front when it sees you, make sure it is healthy though!!! But may be it is just the petco by me, because other petcos arent... tooo bad, but still need some work (Bettas in EVERY tank, only one, but still, bettas will kill fish with flashy fins if they resemble them, that is why you see all these lyrtails and guppies and whatnot floating aorund )
