ive got an 8G tank that used to be my snakes first home, and i fancy using it for something. i quite like the idea of a shrimp tank and maybe some tiny fish, as i would like to try and really put some effort into the scaping of the tank, as my community tank scaping just gets constantly decimated by my fish :shout: i could also probably get away without using a filter or heater with just shrimp.

so any slightly more bizzare options i could go for ?

and not a betta  or frogs or anything. fish or shrimp. or both.

What, no betta??

How about some cherry shrimp and a shoal of boraras brigittae? This on a bed of black sand. OOOooooo.

mmmmm im liking the red/black/green combo of fish sand and plants. is there a list somewhere specifically of micro fish or whatever they're called ? im even debating not having a filter, especially if i only have shrimp. changing a jug of water every other day is no big deal, and my current tank is hogging most of the plug sockets. with 5 or 6 tiny fish in 8G, you reckon i could do it ?

Some fish that can work are, dwarf emerald rasbora, endlers, celestial pearl danios, ember tetras, or chilli rasboras, I also believe some more could be feather fin rainbow fish and sparking gouramis, but I'm not so sure about those 2 :good:

Freshwater pipefish. They are hard to find but a pleasure to keep. :) I have a trio in a 15 gallon but they would be find in an 8.
