80 Gal For Rams

I would just go for one pair Amy, don't want too much aggression incase it affects your Discus.

I know people who have got golds and blues together but whether it is righ or not i couldn't say. I would just have a true pair, but i would chose Bolivians rather than Blues, just personal preference really.

While bolivians are usually recommended because they are hardy and less fussy than blues. BUT, if you design the tank for discus, I would think the blues would work perfectly. Also what is the foot print of the 80? Seems like you could easily do more than one pair if you had enough hiding spaces and breeding caves for them. I would say two pair easily.
