Ok so I had a 29 gallon brakish aquarium (@ about 1.08 SG) and my fish were starting to outgrow so I just set up a 75 gallon.  My current stock is 2x dragon goby's (both around 6-8") 2x Mono sebae (both around 3-4") and a very small spotted puffer. All have been together for about a month now happy as can be in the 29 gallon but I want to add some fish to the new tank. I have 3 mollies that I will probably throw in  there but want to add more for algae control. I was thinking of getting some Scats to help and maybe at a couple of silver mono's. I know the scats monos and puffer will require higher salinity as they age and probably a larger tank. I assume the dragon gobys wont like the higher salinity later so i may need to find them a different home when the time comes but what suggestions as to how many and of what I can add or any other suggestions for fish to add. I have done a lot of research and have ended up only confusing my self. I was going to add some knight and bumble bee gobys but i can assume they will not like the higher salinity later on either and might not all get along that well anyways. Thought, suggestions, comments? Thanks in advance.

I don't know about the bumble bee gobies but knight gobies should be ok at that salinity. Don't get scats they get too big and even now a 75gallon is pushing it with the mono sabae. You might be able to squeeze a few silver monos in there. All those fish you mentioned will be fine at your current salinity though. They don't need full strength sea water, just about half strength to be healthy.

Maybe I should have been a bit more specific. I am aware that eventually I will need an even larger aquarium. I plant o within a year 2 at most to grab a 120gl plus tank so lets keep that in mind. What I think I'm going to do at this point is throw in either another 2 of sebaes or the other common variety of mono (name evades me at this time) depending on everyone's thoughts as far as schooling goes. Now I'm thinking of just adding 1  green scat with the monos and that would be it for the tank. Should this be my full stock or do I have room for more?

try a moray eel they are great fun and I have mine in with smaller puffers and Columbian sharks and if kept well fed they do just fine and try scats or Columbian sharks
