Guys I have a 2 footer for like 70 GBR(Ram cichlid) fry I hatched (before you anger, it was either that or a community tank with huge gouramis and danisoni.

Problem, forgot water change, have been feeding egg yolk, led to white spots on some fry and now some fry are turning belly up and then there's hairy outgrowth on them!

How do I sort this problem out?

Problem 2: I don't have enough water holders for a change! :( I can treat all 70 in a 10cm tall and 6 cm long box , should I as a last resort?

Problem 3: I have a killifish peat moss and fry mixture in that box currently, where do I transfer that single hatchling if I intend to turn his house into a hospital?

Please take the time to help and fast! :(

Need to treat them all as those that look ok will already have problem as sounds like fungus,I treat mine with Protozinwhite spot and fungas treatment,if you have any charcoal media in filters take it out as removes treatment, take out some of old water first bout 20%,let me know if you need anymore help,YL.

Could you not be so concise? :( Well I added methylene blue which is used to treat ich which is the white spots they''ve got I presume. Now that they're in the hospital box, I'll be doing a drastic say (75% water change of their tank)

But what to do about feeding them? I don't have anything besides egg yolk and some green water!

Will the fry take finley ground up flakes? I usually swirl ground up flakes in the water to help them sink for my cory fry and the movement of the flakes through the water might help the cichlid fry decide its food. Many pet shops sell fry foods as well but they can mean more cleaning of the tank because they foul the water quickly.
