I just tested the water in my tank (Still haven't put in my betta) The ph tested at 7.6. What ph do betta's need? If lower, how do I get it lower?

it not too bad, me & my sis's are 7.5 & 8 and we breed at this. your fish will grow accustomed to whatever it is as long as it is stable. using a ph lowering drops and stuff can be a pain and is easy to over do. just acculmate him to the water slowly temp and ph. float his bag or cup in the tank water for 30 minits to get a shared temp, then slowly ad a little tank water to the cup or bag, 1/4 cup at a time, after 10 minits of the slow water adding the store bag or cup would be pretty full, then i take a fish net , scoop him out and put him in the tank. try not to get any store water in the tank water, who knows what gross stuff could be in it. and he should be good, add water later that day if you need to top off the tank, just make sure its the same temp as the tank. any pics?
