6ftx2ftx2ft Planted Discus Aquarium

Well I guess you need to work out what its going to cost, if you can afford it, then go for it! But 6ft is a big tank, a would be beyond the reach of many, but thats not to say you could if the money was there am

Well this is a F***ing disappointment .Went there picked it all up,i had my suspicions that it was smaller than 6ft but it didn't look to much smaller.I got an oscar ,2 upside down catfish, 7' alibino plec , 15 inch plec ,11 inch plec and little normal 1,with it also got 2 fluval 404 filters but one doesn't work(anyone know how to fix this)But anyway it was a bit more wear then tear when i thuoght it was.Once we got it in i compared it to my rio 400 and it was smaller.Measured it and it is 5ft x 18 inches x 18inches.So i am trying to talk to this seller and get something sorted out.He advertised it having an extra 100 gallons! :S.Thing is i go round my mums every 2 weeks to visit here(as my mum and dad split up ages ago,she lives 45 miles away from us) and we got the tank nearer there(put it in a sheep trailer, lol), it is now 100 miles from where we originally bought it (ipswich).this is such hassle and bother i had already filled it up and put all medication etc in it to start cycling as the fish will need to stay somewhere.I don't know what i am going to do?!Could i just tell ebay that the item was not correctly listed and keep the tank and my £150?I've looked and ebays info is useless

I've been working with my own 404 that I recieved broken.

The impeller (spinny fan thing), is the first thing to look at. Then the clamp that holds it in and the rod that holds it in.

then make sure the valves are open.... I made this mistake. Turning them on spilt 2 gallons onto my carpet

then make sure it's fulll when starting, and so on.

Man that's crap, I would first try and sort something with the seller as its blatant misselling, if that doesn't work talk to ebay. If you've not already, hold off giving feedback as well.

Sorry mate, a 6ft'er would have been wicked. At least you know where they live :shifty:

You need to contact ebay by phone if you want the money, I went through this and they never sent more then a e-mail stating they would look into it

Iroc - If you have their phone number let me know! I've yet to find anything other than email contacts for ebay, a phone number would be invaluable!

Cheesy - Wharf aquatics do custom aquariums. However when I looked into this a while ago my local Maidenhead Aquatics worked out the cheapest place to get custom tanks, if you have a local shop that is.
