Hi,

I'm in the market for a 6ft tank. Being based in Northern Ireland seriously limits where I can buy as there ain't much choice over here plus they tend to price much higher as there is little competition.

I have searched online and came across a site called all pond solutions who have a 6 foot tank with unit and will ship it over here I just wondered if anyone on here has ever used them and has any idea on the quality of their units etc.

Any advice much appreciated

Have a read of this thread.
Isn't as big a tank as the one you want, but may help you

Thanks for that. It don't sound too good :look:

Has anyone any links to other sites selling 6 foot tanks. I may also consider a 5 foot tank

Thanks for the replys.

I've now set my heart on a jewel rio 400 but at £900 it's gonna be a while. Could get smaller but I'd only end up regretting it.

God knows what I could stck it with???.

Have a look at seahorse aquariums Dublin web site.

Iv got the rio 400 (450 litre) got it 2nd hand a few days back for £200 with the stand, 2 300 watt heaters, loads of bogwood, 2 new lights for the lid, sand and a fluval fx5 external filter. Only thing I got for it is a background (£12), 2 bottles of water condisioner (£20) and 16 real plants (around £30)

Iv just ordered black sand to replace the normal sand as it takes the colour out of the fish and they nowhere as good (25kgs - £25)

My stocking - 3 rainbow/dwarf snakeheads (channa bleheri - £36)

Put all that together and with a few extra bits and pieces iv spent a total of around £350. A bargain considering what it should of come to

Very good site that. I'll add that to my favourites. Is buying live stock online a good idea? It's something I would never have done in the past

Thanks,

However that price is for the tank only. The cabinet is extra. Argos online were doing the tank as well for around the same price but they don't stock the cabinets for reasons best known to someone else??????

Have you tried Gumtree? Second hand tanks appear on there.

Yeah tried eBay and gumtree, illkeep checking for something in my area but other than that £900 is the cheapest I've seen
