I want to get a 6ft tank, ideally with dimensions of at least 5ft x 2 x 2...if possible 6ft x 2 x 2. I have read some really informative threads, including calculations of glass thickness etc. Now my problems are that mathematically wise, im a bit "slow" and really struggle calculating anything, and im not sure what exact glass to use and where to get it from. I have spent a while searching but all I can find are industrial companies. So my questions are:-

1) What thickness would really be required for a tank of those sizes
2) Where could I get the glass, or acrylic from
3) Could anyone help me with calculations etc

Any help would be much appreciated, I understand that basically a tank is 5 pieces of glass stuck together, its just the "mathematical" side of things that confuses me, thanks Ben

Hi There is there any reason why you arn't just looking at buying a preformed aquarium?, you can get them in large sizes and removes all the worries and calcualtions.
