I've re-done my 62 gal tank today. :fun:
changed the play sand for silica sand
and thinned out plants etc.

I've not put back all the fish yet, as they were stressed from the hassle of chassing etc, so I've left them in the 13 gall in the dark for the rest of today.

Now my new additions :D
blood angel? :dunno:

Albino pearscale. :kana:

both together

now an addition for my 72 gall (base 4ft X 2ft)

can you guys comfirm he is a common pleco
he is 10" long

oh well, back to cleaning the water spots
thanks for looking

It looks lovely.

Are they the same plants? They look healthier than the old pic (maybe just the colouring of the picture).

Looks nice! :) Glad to see angels in a decent sized tank for once.

Your pleco isn't a common pleco. Your pleco has 13 fin rays in his dorsal, so he's probably a sailfin pleco. Common plecos have 8 fin rays in their dorsal.

OMG anna has made a post, I am very very honoured :D

Looks good.

I have only silica sand in my tank and have a slight diatom algae problem. Supposedly these algae thrive on silica...I'll be interested in how yours turns out.

diatoms are often seen in new tank set ups, byt they can occur in mature tanks too. Has yours recently cycled?
diatoms are caused by low light levels, so you could increase the light, either add more light or keep the current light on for longer.

if yours is a mature tank, otos will eat diatoms as will apple snails.

NIce wolf! I like it!

I see you have that albino Angel, very pretty indeed! Kinda evil lookin with that red eye! :p Man, i would really like to be able to put some of my fish in another tank like you did. Thats something new ill be considering! :D
