600 Liter Tank And Not A Clue

Hi new to all this, I just come into a 600 liter tank and need to know what kit will be good for it and basically where to start, all help will be appreciated in this subject.

Argos sells play sand for £2.99, lots of use it
Tank Heaters you will need two 300W, fluval E series are good
Filters well depends on who you talk to IMO 600L you will want a fluval X5

I will second the Fluval E series heaters. They are really good. I would say go for 2 Fluval FX5 Filters. Then you can set up a nice New World Cichlid tank !!!

while i love the hydors they are less efficent not more

And, unless they've changed them, the Hydor externals do indeed use glass tubes -inside.- So you must still be gentle with them when handling (if you have them hanging in back of the tank then be careful not to drop them etc.) WD

Actually, larger tanks are often easier as it takes toxins longer to build up to toxic levels.

Have you read up on cycling? That's what you should be doing along with looking at equipment.

Id say good luck with a 600ltr tank as your first tank

Much better to start with a big tank like this than something like a 60l, in a small tank toxins can quickly reach lethal levels, as most keepers tend to overstock.
