i just got a 60 gallon tank, i currently have 5 EXTRA LARGE gold fish (about the size of baseballs not including the tails) in it with a sucker fish and a bottom feeder, but i was thinking of getting a cleaning fish, one of the ones that sort of try to clean off other fish, but i can't find them.. or can you not get those for fresh water tanks? if you can, names of fish types would be nice :D

believe it or not, people are about to reply telling you that your goldfish should be in a bigger tank  . you'll be like  . but believe it or not, its true. :look:

are they fancy goldfish or comets?

I have never heard of a freshwater cleaner fish Rex.

BTW, you have a fully stocked tank already so more fish is not a good idea.

its not for now, but for later. the fish were with the tank when i bought it from a woman who wasn't taking good care of it. i had to get them..... i had to clean it really good. o_O there was freaking green sludge on everything and the gravel seemed like it was never cleaned. heck, i even had to treat for Ick when i got them home :'( I'm trying the best that i can right now. the fish are already about 9 yrs the woman said, so I'm just looking for now for future references, cause don't goldfish only live up to 10 yrs?

and they're fancy goldfish. i noticed a lot of personality in them ^_^ there are 2 black scope eye ones with fan tails. dusk has the top half of his 2 tails not split, dawn has 2 fully split tails and his belly is starting to turn gold, koi looks like a koi from his coloration. dusty is all gold with a yellowing belly and Vally is gold with a white belly. the thing that makes me question though is that when i set it up, i found this little fish in there. only about an inch long, if that. its flat and most definitely a catfish cause of the way its mouth and body and whiskers are, but the coloration is interesting. i moved him to a spare 10 gallon tank for now, but I'm curious exactly what species he is. if i put a pic up can some1 identify him for me? i named him spaz cause of the way he reacted when i found him. he swam wildly from side to side and was doing circles lol

but as i said, I'm pretty much trying to establish what to get for later. like, how many small community fish can i put in a 60 gallon? or even what should the set up be for plants and decor? as well another reason why I'm asking is cause a couple of friends want to buy a couple from me, so I'll only have prolly the 2 black ones left, so please ppl don't stress out on the "need a bigger tank" thing lol i know if i was going to keep them i would need another one, just i don't have the money or space, so some of them are going to my friends ^_^ then my mum wants to take the black ones later, since she's starting up the 150 gallon again and wants something easy to take care of.... i love the 150 gal... wish i had pics of it lol, i helped her set it up and stuff (the decor and stuff). its so pretty ^_^

when i was saying cleaning fish i was just currious if there were such thing for fresh water. i know there is for salt water, but i wasnt sure about fresh water. it was just a question....
