I bought this tank two weeks ago but I was only able to get it set up yesterday but so far this is what I've got. I'm planning to add my Cories, Clowns, Neons, Kuhlis and a Shark (if he behaves) to it as well as a few Gold BN's. All the fish save the bristlenoses are already in a pair of 30g's and a 10g so if things don't work out for the Cories, Shark or Kuhlis, they have somewhere to go.

The stand:

Tank with a little bit of water:

The tank with lighting, nothing special, just some bought at Walmart:

And the sand substrate, not yet finished adding to it:

And finally, with the lights out.

Cool, what sort of decor are you planning to go for in it i.e bogwood/driftwood, smooth rocks, caves, grass plants etc :) ? Are you aiming for a heavily planted tank or just a medium/lightly planted tank  ?

Sorry for the long delay in replies. Had a busy week. :)

Nice! I like your stand!

Thanks, I got it used from my LFS and at a discount as well. It's actually a shorter stand than I'm used to but it makes for good viewing when sitting in a chair.

Mostly it's going to be natural bogwoods and some poly-resin stuff. I want to do some large river rocks and smaller stones as well. Also live plants once I can get some hardy, fast growing stuff to start it off then move into the more delicate or difficult plants. I've never had sucess keeping plants long term so I want to go slow and see how it progresses but I would like to do some heavy planting in at least part of the tank.

I agree, that is a very nice stand. Did it come like that or did you stain it with something?

Tank looks good so far

That's how it came. I'm thinking of getting a hood done the same way so I can hang lights inside and give it a nicer look.
