55g Jd Tank

Finally getting there I think. The background still needs to go but all in good time. Upgraded the power head I use for flow to a maxi-1200 and put my 900 in the 30G. Well, i'll shut up, i know you wanna just see pics... here ya go:

My 55G:
1 x 5.5" JD
1 x 6" Pleco
6 x ~2" Giant Danios

The danios obv, can't believe I actually got a pic that isn't blurry

I really like the tank, especially the darkened look, very good for JDs IMO.

Can I suggest one thing though? It would look awesome if you added jungle val to the left side of the tank, behind the lower rockwork, to give it a higher look. I think it would look pretty neat.

All in all, thumbs up.

PS: I've always liked your sig quotes.

Thanks! I like the quotes too but I always hope that nobody thinks I'm a nazi or something having those quotes. I just am really interested in the Nazi empire and how the sick bastards came to power.

I am very interested in anything and everything WWII, too. It's so facsinating how a whole country turned into an empire, because of one guys lunacy. (Actually, there were many crazy crazy guys.... but you know what I mean)

It isn't really that dark and gloomy in person. I just have a cheapo kodak cam and I guess it doesnt capture alot of light without a bright flash..... idk

Well I guess for the purposes of my signature I should keep this semi-updated.... No new pics as of right now, nothing much has changed except I took some of the rocks out of the left hand side of the tank and moved one of the plants to that corner.

The danios are growing quite huge but to my amazement are still thin as rails, growing more veritcally than horizontally.

The JD is really heffer and getting a good belly on him. I'm trying to cut back on how much I feed him as he usually just lays in his little "fox-hole" he has dug for himself behind the bogwood during most of the day.

My pleco hasnt noticably grown too much but is keeping pace with my JD.

O too, when I went to remove the rocks, I was going to remove them all and put sand and more plants in that end, but when I lifted up a big support stone all my khuli's came flying out and squirming all over the tank. It suprised the hell outta me that they were still alive. I thought for sure that the jd had got them and eaten them. It was funny watching them swim all over the bottome too because he got so freaked out by them and didnt know what to do Anyways, I left a few of the rocks in there for shelter for them as I don't want to leave them totally exposed.

Thats it for now, like I said, nothing massively new

JD looks like mind did, lethargic as anything.
