55g Community Options?

I'm getting an oak trim 55g and stand from "santa" this year and i was planing on putting sand in and fake plants. Whats a good variety of fishies for that tank. (community fish only) I would like to have neons in there so i guess something not too big.

15 cory cats
5 otos
6 Rainbowfish
3 Kissing Gouramis

I think that would be a neat tank!

If you want sand I'd deffinatly go for loaches and corys! You could have like 10 panda corys and 6 loaches, a school of maybe 15 neons, a plec and something like some rainbows or maybe 6 danios or something?

I would get:

10 Neon Tetra
8 Penguin Tetra
6 Rasbora Heteromorpha
4 Aeneus Corydoras(Bronze)
4 Aeneus Corydoras(Albino)
4 Aeneus Corydoras(Green)
4 Sunset Variatus(very pretty platy)
2 Bristle Nose Plecos OR 2 SAE

Thats What I would do, Along with a fake or real peice of wood or main deco in the middle. Thats what I whated for mine, but things changed! Best Luck

Why fake plants?

My 75 gallon has fake plants, if i could do it all over again i would get real in there. None of my tanks will ever have fake again

well fake plants dont like my tanks. They always float up or my fish eat them. Since i found snails on the plants i just got, i'm kinda leery. You can find awesome fake plants that look real in a 3 pack for like 5 bucks.
