55 Gallon Plant Progress Report!

Well I finally got my sand yesterday and tommorow Im doing a 100% water change. This is going the natural way. So im gonna get sand Driftwood/Bogwood and real plants. Were gonna do this step by step. First off with the sand. And I bought 3 plants yesterday each week or every other day im gonna buy more plants. So far im working on a Co2 injector but Im still trying to get the hang of it. So far im I got Anacharis and Ludwiga. But Im planing to get more.

Well cleaning the sand right now but it still seems dirty...

Do u think a penguin 330 would be able to suck all the debri?

It could suck up the debris, but any fine sand could screw the impeller. Just be patient, I stayed up until 1:30 washing mine so I could start early in the morning, took me about 3 hours....

maybe try doing a few water changes to remove the dirt?

if all that debri settles on the bottom, it might just stir up when you turn on your filter or put in fish

Well today in the morning it cleared up I could actually see my background with out any problem. Im planing on doing a water change ight now. Also I just hooked my DIY Co2 to my tank. Im hoping this thing works, the fish are currently in and loving the sand especially mu Sterbais. Ill take a pic later!

Well bought some plants for my 55 gallon tank!

I bought 2 big amazons 2 bunches of Red Ludwiga, and 1 bunch of hornwort. So far Its half of a half planted. So far Im doing only one side the left side first. But its just planted not heavily planted. But myabe a few more like 5 will do the trick on the left side of the tank. Next week im getting some slate.

P.S Sand is 100% clear!
